On page factors

To ensure your pages are search engine friendly, you should check for the following elements, based on the keyword research you have carried out for the purpose of targeting relevant phrases (see the Keyword Research section):

1) <title>

This should reflect the key search phrase / phrases chosen for the page - maximum 9 words.

2) <description>

A sentence that again reflects the key search phrases chosen for the page, though is not identical to the <title> - maximum 21 words.

3) Text Content

The key search phrases should be near the top of the page's text content, and should have various semantic variations throughout the page. Avoid "keyword stuffing", by ensuring the text appears natural and does not repeat the key search phrase and its variations too often throughout the whole page, based on a keyword density figure of 1% - 3% being the maximum.

4) <alt> tags

Ensure each graphical element on the page has an <alt> tag description that is relevant and not "keyword stuffed".

5) Internal Links

Ensure there are links to relevant pages that feature relevant "anchor text", based on the key search phrases you are targeting.

6) Outbound Links

Ensure there are links to other sites that are "credible" and "authoritative".
