Creditflux is a website with over 12,000 articles and costs over £2,000 per annum for a subscription. We were tasked to create a site which was easier for internationally located journalists to use, easier to manage subscriptions and automatic renewals with online payment, which was secure to stop password access being shared in offices, which better reflected the depth in content and felt more valuable to the subscriber, and which generated more first page search engine results. We successfully achieved every one of these objectives. We delivered the site on Decibel CMS - a fully taxonomised site, meaning that once articles are uploaded the site displays them automatiically in all the right places and associates them with other articles to show 'related articles'.
The colour coding and icons improved usability and have lead to more return visits and more time spent on the site. Advertisers can choose to appear alongside specific pieces of content, by section, or site wide - providing for more revenue opportunities. The site saw a large increase in subscriptions from soft launch, even before the new site was publicised. It's most successful competiting search engine term achieved 1st position out of 88,000,000 results.
